Regional Fire & Rescue Partners
We work with a number of partners in the North East of England, in particular all of the fire and rescue services:
National Fire & Rescue Partners
We are currently working very closely with the following partners on issues related to wildfire. Led by Paul Hedley (our Chief Fire Officer), the NFCC’s Wildfire Group provides professional advice to inform government policy on wildfires. It is committed to developing strategic and technical guidance, as well as sharing notable practice in the fire and rescue community. Click the links to find out more.
International Fire & Rescue Partners
Working with international partners to exchange knowledge and good practice has helped us to develop our skills. We have also been involved with co-financed projects which have helped us to purchase better equipment, and much more.
IGNIS Project

This is the Initiative for Global Management of Big Fires through Simulation. The project brings together the knowledge and experience of emergency service partners from France, Italy, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
IGNIS was co-financed by the European Commission through its Civil Protection Financial Instrument.
